What Is Thread Lift?
The thread lift is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that can visibly “lift” the skin at the jowls, face and neck by threading and pulling up the skin with dissolvable medical-grade sutures.
The Cosmetic Surgeon, Dr Siddharth Sakhiya of Celebre Aesthetics, Surat, tightly pulls the sagging skin and contours the face to look youthful during a thread lift. A Thread lift not only lifts the loose skin to reshape the face but also encourages the body to produce a high amount of collagen which improves the skin’s quality making it look younger and smoother. Thread Lift provides ongoing and progressive rejuvenation for the facial tissues.
Dr. Sakhiya’s note on Collagen:
Collagen is produced by the body to accelerate healing processes in areas where it identifies wounds. Higher collagen results in a firm, smooth toned skin. Hence, stimulating collagen through the thread lift is an added advantage for the patient.
Why Do Patients Opt For Thread Lift?
Threadlift,as an anti-ageing procedure, has multiple advantages that make it popular amongst patients.
Minimally invasive nature
High standard of safety
Effective in pausing ageing
Minimal recovery time
Minimal to invisible scars
Negligible risks associated with the procedure
Changes are natural-looking and subtle
Dr Siddharth Sakhiya, the Cosmetic Surgeon of Celebre Aesthetics, Surat believes these advantages make thread lift an attractive and better option to a surgical facelift for the patients.

What To Expect At The Consultation With Dr Siddharth Sakhiya?
Dr Siddharth Sakhiya’s one-on-one consultations are deep, detailed discussions where he asks the patient about their expectations, desires, goals, understands their medical history and explains the procedure and risks to them.
You will be asked to show the problem areas (in your opinion) on your face – for example, loose skin near the cheeks, neckline shows signs of sagging etc. Pictures of your face will be taken from multiple angles as part of your case history.
Our consultations also involve noting down your medical history and any allergies that might affect the cosmetic procedure. We end the consultation only after the patient and Dr Siddharth Sakhiya are on the same page and there are no doubts in the mind of the patient.
What To Expect Before The Procedure?
Dr Siddharth Sakhiya will need to know the entirety of the medical history in order to carry out the process smoothly and without any complications. Any impending allergies must also be informed before the procedure. Also, the doctor will click a few pictures to analyze the difference in the result after the process is complete.
You will be asked to undergo routine blood and urine tests by Dr Sakhiya. Some of your current medication (blood thinning medication) may be stopped in the days leading up to the procedure. Alcohol consumption and smoking will be prohibited for at least a week before the procedure.
Apart from that, the patient only needs to keep a relaxed and positive frame of mind as a preparation of the thread lift at Celebre Aesthetics, Surat.
How Is Thread Lift Performed At Celebre Aesthetics?
Dr Siddharth Sakhiya, the Board-certified Plastic, Cosmetic Surgeon of Celebre Aesthetics, Surat begins the procedure by administering local anaesthesia on the patient. The local anaesthesia is given to ensure the comfort of the patient and keeping him/her pain-free throughout the duration of the procedure.
A thin needle is inserted in the area to be lifted. The depth of the needle is maintained at the subdermal level. Medical-grade thread is passed into the skin through the needle to tighten and lift the targeted area. This procedure needs precision and accuracy since the face and neck are the most noticeable parts of the body. The needle is slowly withdrawn and the tissue is ‘gathered’ over the thread. Once the desired effect has been reached, the long ends of the thread are then cut off. The sutures dissolve over the next 6 months leaving no residual material present since they are broken down by a process called hydrolysis. The new collagen and fibrous tissue that had formed around the sutures then continue to hold the skin up and tighten the skin.
What To Expect During Recovery From Thread lift?
Immediately after the procedure, patients feel tightness in the muscles of their face and neck. This is normal and common. Dr Sakhiya will monitor your vitals and stay with you until you feel comfortable enough to go home. Typically patients are alert and comfortable within 20-30 mins of the procedure.
Little swelling and bruising will be visible after the process. Dr Siddharth Sakhiya of Celebre Aesthetics, Surat recommends using ice packs to help in reducing the swelling. It will fade away slowly over the next 7-10 days.
The doctor will also ask you to refrain from washing your face over the next 12 hours. Dr Sakhiya also issues strict instructions to not touch your face for a minimum of 12 hours post-procedure.
Another important point for a comfortable recovery is eating soft or liquid food for the first 24 hours after the Thread lift. This gives the thread lift enough time to settle and stabilise.
Patients can start normal activities immediately. Heavy exercise or physically strenuous activities can be started after 2 weeks of full recovery.
